If someone is registered from frontside to users list, then it is impossible to change his usertype to seller or staff. Even if I changed his group to seller from joomla admin panel, I still cannot access this account from backoffice. I have deleted this account from users list, but I still cannot add the same email from backoffice.

Hi Angelo,

As Admin, You can change the person from user to seller by assigning him the seller category. Since the user is already registered with the 'system', it can be re-registered.

I am a registered user, logged in, and tried to reregister this time as seller. An error appears indicating that the saving process of this user is not possible due to it's necessary to provide an username; I think that maybe the username is not provided automatically by the script when a registered user tries to reregister as a seller. Please, check it out.

Hi Adesh,

The best way is to change the user to seller from backend. Since the user is already registered, It can not be re-registered.

Hi,

In my opinion, the problem is joomla registered users cannot be accessed from backoffice. The solution to this problem can be joomla user subcategory can be added to user profiles group. So we can find a registered user from back office and change his user type to seller or staff.

Thanks for posting your query.

Was the user deleted from Joomla administrator panel? It seems that the user was not actually deleted from the database, which might have caused this problem.
